There are different epidemiological methods such as Descriptive, Analytical and Experimental. Experimental research is a study in which an investigator manipulates or controls one or more independent variables and observes the effect on dependent variables. Types of experimental studies – Randomized controlled Trials and Non-randomized Controlled Trials. There are various steps involved in randomized controlled trials. There are types of randomized controlled trials such as clinical trials, preventive trials, risk factor trials, cessation experiments, trial of etiological agents, evaluation of health services and community Intervention Trials(CITs).Further, there are types of Non-Randomized Controlled trials.
